Hello ladies! I hope you all are preparing for a wonderful holiday weekend! I have been super busy this past week with work and gymming and hanging out with friends, so I apologize for neglecting my blog for almost a week.  But here I am!  And let me tell you, I have been itching to take pictures in this dress to share with you guys!

First off, let me just say that I love Free People.  I do not own too many pieces from them because at this point in my life, full price Free People is a bit out of my budget.  However, when I do get a chance to snag on of their unique pieces on sale at Nordstrom Rack, I take advantage of it.  Finding this dress was one of those instances.

I actually almost kept browsing past this dress.  But when I picked it up, I saw fell in love!  Although everything about this dress screams "table cloth" or "grandma" or "Chinese rug"--I still had to get it.  I thought it was ugly and beautiful all at once.  This dress has a semi-boxy but semi-feminine shape to it.  I love the drop back, and the colors are very baroque and regal like.  As much as I thought the dress was kind of silly looking, I just had to get it.

I thought it would be a wonderfully unique piece, and it is! I'm not going to lie, I literally thought it looked like  a "blogger girl dress." And I knew that if I could style it with some simple accessories, it would look super cute.  Not to mention, it was $40! I could not justify leaving such a unique dress from Free People on the rack in at store when it was only $40!

Anyways, if you can't tell by now, I am super excited about this dress.  I am happy to be sharing these pictures with you because I love the way they turned out--especially with the green in the background.  But the moral of the story (or the post) is: take a challenge with the next item you purchase.  Challenge yourself to buy something you wouldn't normally buy and use it!  It doesn't even have to be clothes!  Have you gone to the grocery store lately and picked up a fruit or a veggie you've never tried?  You may be surprised.  You might actually really enjoy it!
