TEN Shopping Event! ♥

Hello ladies, thanks for coming by my blog.  Today was a pretty great day! I attended my first ever shopping/blogger event hosted by Kesha at TEN (chic, affordable style)TEN is a service business which hosts shopping events to promote our concept of CHIC. AFFORDABLE. STYLE.  It is definitely a very unique and fun concept, and it was such a fun event to attend.

I have to admit, I was a little hesitant to attend this event when I first got the invite.  My feelings had nothing to do with Kesha or TEN, but I believe they were more deep-rooted feelings.  I remember before I lost weight, although I was never super depressed about it, I definitely had some insecurities.  Being the half introvert, insecure little girl that I was, I would have passed up on this event.  I wouldn't have felt pretty enough, or skinny enough, or stylish enough to attend such a thing.  So when I felt a few of those feelings resurface, I was almost a little confused.  I hadn't felt that way in a long time! But instead of being my old self and staying at home being comfortable, I decided to give it a try!  I brought my best friend (and photographer) along for support and I had an amazing time.
Kesha was also kind enough to extend me a $25 giftcard (and even though I went a little over, she didn't make me pay one cent)! I was amazed at her poise and hospitality.  She was so friendly and I even found out that she's a Scorpio (JUST LIKE ME)! I managed to get a few good pictures, which I will post below, but the main message behind this post is this: get out of your comfort zone.  Get a little uncomfortable.  When we force ourselves to step outside of our own little boxes, we truly learn and grow.  This was the first event I was invited to as a blogger and I am so glad that I mustered up the courage to go. I know it kind of sounds silly, but for me this was a good step in the right direction and just by going through with it, I've shown myself that I have truly grown as a person.  I encourage all of you to do something that you have been wanting to do but maybe have been putting it off out of fear.  You will stay afraid unless you try and address what scares you.  And ya never know, whatever it is may not be quite s scary as you think.
